Privacy Policy

Whim is currently in pre-launch. A full Privacy Policy compliant with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 will be published prior to the public launch in winter 2026.

1. What we collect
We collect information you provide directly, including:
- Name and email address when you join the waitlist or make a booking
- Salon name and contact details when you apply as a partner salon
- Usage data (pages visited, actions taken) via anonymous analytics
2. How we use it
- To send booking confirmations and reminders
- To notify you when Whim launches (waitlist members)
- To operate the platform and support salon partners
- To improve the product — we never sell your data
3. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate Whim:
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Neon — database hosting (hosted in the US)
- Vercel — web hosting
Each provider has their own privacy policy. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
4. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide the service. You can request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@whim.au.
5. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@whim.au.
6. Cookies
Whim uses cookies solely for authentication (keeping you logged in as a salon partner or admin). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
